When updating you billing information in QBSE, it should be as easy as logging in to your account. Though cache boosts browser's background processes, it can also cause issues when piled up on your browser. Here's how to get rid any cache-related concerns:

  1. Open a private browser and log in to your QBSE account. It uses but doesn't store cache.
  2. If you can update your billing information successfully, we can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache.
  3. You can also use other supported browsers if necessary. Each of them uses a different cache.

But this is what I see when I log in. I am trying to keep the one that says it's being canceled. Not the self-employed one. So I can't update the billing info.

Once we're unable to resubscribe or our QuickBooks Online subscription expires, we will preserve your company data for 365 days after the cancellation date and the system will automatically mark your company as canceled. To activate it again, we'll just have to click your company file to be routed to the Billing & Subscription tab. You can also follow these steps to resubscribe.

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online company (the canceled one).
  2. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  3. Choose Account and Settings
  4. Go to Billing & Subscription, then click Resubscribe, and enter the updated billing information.
  5. Click Subscribe.

Once done we'll have to log out and log in again, then go back Account and Settings. Select Billing & Subscription, then check the next charge date. If it's a date in the past, you'll have to contact our Customer Care Team to prevent back-billed charges from occurring.

With the Billing & Subscription tab, we can also upgrade or downgrade your subscription, or make other changes to your account

In that error message, you can perform a basic troubleshooting in your browser to check if it's a browser issue. To start, let's access your QuickBooks Online account via a private/incognito window. Here are the keyboard shortcuts in opening a private/incognito window:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

 

Once done, you can clear the cache in your browser to delete some of the outdated files that may cause small problems.
