Since you’ve mentioned that even after updating the role as billing owner, your bookkeeper still receives billing emails. Ensure that those changes are successfully saved in your QuickBooks Online account.
Also, confirm that the previous bookkeeper's email address has been fully removed from all account settings. Double-check the company email listed under the Company tab and make sure to update it to reflect your email as the primary contact.
Here's how to check and change it:
- Go to the Gear icon then select Account and settings.
- In the Company info, click Edit in the Email field.
- Hit Save and Done
Keep in mind that if their role was updated but their account was not removed, they can continue receiving emails tied to their previous role.
