Join nowHi there, @ABH2020.
I’m here to help fix the challenges you’ve encountered upon printing in QuickBooks Desktop.
There are several possible causes for this issue, such as:
Since you've already tried using the QuickBooks Tool Hub, let's try renaming the QBWUSER.ini file and reinstall QuickBooks using the clean install tool.
To perform the process, please check out this article: QuickBooks Desktop won't open, has stopped working, or not responding.
Additionally, you may want to consider rebuilding and verifying your data in case there's any damage. The Verify Data utility identifies any potential data damage issues, while the Rebuild Data utility repairs data in your company file.
If the program is in multi-user mode, you need to change to single user mode (Go to File -> Switch to Single User Mode). It is very important that you have to create a backup copy of your company file before running Verify and Rebuild Data.
Verify Data:
Note: If the verify process is successful, you are done. In case it fails due to some problem, QuickBooks will notify you to run Rebuild data.
Rebuild Data:
As always, you can contact our QuickBooks Support team if you need assistance with the steps. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment and help you navigate using one of their tools.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with in opening or closing QuickBooks Desktop. Have a great day!
Hi AileneA,
Thank you so much for your help. I fixed the problem already.
I believe QB print set up was allowed to compress print data, not print until all data was created and then process it at the max setting. I hope I understood that right...lol.
To fix it:
FILE>Printer Set Up
I chose the form I was having issues with and repeated the process for each form I couldn't print
I chose the right printer and right next to the printer name clicked on "Options"
That opened another window "XXXX Printer Properties", clicked on the 3rd tab "Page Set Up"
that opens another window "Print Options"
I checked the last two boxes "Do not allow application software to compress print data" and "Print after creating print data by page"
I also changed the last setting "Unit of Print Data Processing" to "Middle"
That fixed the problem for me, but I am no tech, so Disclaimer-lol.
