QB Online Accountant Changes

How do I make an "Accounting Firm" (User) inactive or delete them? Does an Accountant sign in from QB Accountant Online website rather than QB Online website?  I initially was made a user with full access, then made accountant.  When logging in, it defaults to the full access user only.  How do I get to the accounting firm user?

Only the admin and another accountant can add or remove an accountant user. Let me add some details about this and help you from there.


When adding an accountant, they get an invitation email to log in to their accountant account or create a new one.


To remove an accountant user, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Manage Users.
  3. Select the Accounting Firms tab.
  4. From the Action column, select Delete.

Also, when you're added as a user then transferred to being the accountant, you need to be removed as a user first.


You'll need to ask the master admin or another user of the account to remove you as a regular user.
