Join nowHi everyone. I lost access to my company's email and reached out to support over a week ago. I have provided documents to prove ownership. I got an email Friday that they approved my being made the admin again. Only issue was they made me the admin of SOMEONE ELSE'S COMPANY. To make matters worse, someone continues to have access to mine. I have reached out to the office of the president, resubmitted and tried to tell them what they've done, etc. At every turn I hit a brick wall.
Does anybody have a way to reach someone who can actually help? Someone who has the power to review this and fix things? It's bad enough I've been locked out of my company, but now because they can't read these documents properly, they have taken away someone else's company from them too. We're not even in the same region of the country, let alone the same state. Help please!
I recognize the importance of being able to access the right company, @Frustrated_User_2.
Regarding your company's access, I advise contacting Customer Support. They'll be able to investigate this further and provide you with the best answer to your problem.
Here's how to contact support:

I have tried that as I noted. They keep sending me in circles and re-approving access to the wrong company. I am looking for someone who has the authority and ability to actually make changes. At this point, I would think the other company owner would be pretty upset that you turned his company over to me. Further, the person who took over my company over a week ago is making threats. I really wish someone at Intuit wanted to help, but I am only given the run around. I think the people who are reviewing these requests think that everything has been resolved by giving me the wrong company. When I reach out to support, they keep telling me to fill out the same form to regain access. I've done that over 6 times so far.
Is there a number, a direct number, for higher level support? Can you, in the alternative, reach out to someone who can help me and have them contact me? My number is in my account profile so you should be able to see that. Thank you.
I can imagine the hurdle you've been through in regaining your company access, @Frustrated_User_2.
Rest assured that an administrator will contact you via private message. They can investigate this further and provide you with the finest answer.

What kind of threats did you get? Can you still login as Company Admin?
Threats to send out fake invoices, etc. I can't access my email which is the issue that caused this in first place. That was over a week ago. I notified them almost immediately and the time they have given this person to damage is inexcusable. Last Monday I submitted documents proving ownership but they keep "granting" access to my QB Desktop software. That really doesn't help. I bought that because seeing how unsecured QB Online is, I'm never going back. A simple review of the documents shows the address, tax ID, etc. They don't take the time to compare. I even provided in another field the original admin email so they could use that to locate the company. They didn't.
They just approved my request again a few minutes ago - but I have no access despite that. It's another Desktop approval. I have called customer service, written numerous people, provided way more documentation that necessary, etc. There are other options but none that I like. An admin reached out to me last night saying she requested escalation but didn't know if they would accept it. While I appreciate the help, this is about as clear a case for escalation as there is so if she isn't sure, they have some issues with procedures there too. There needs to be a means to contact someone with the authority to resolve these issues at any time, any day. That's a minimum for a cloud based service such as this. I'm just hoping someone has that contact info for me.

I am confused now. Your tag is QB Online and yet you mentioned QB Desktop. Which platform are you using now?
I was using Quickbooks Online. After days of having no access and no help, I bought Desktop. The plan is to regain access to my company online, export it, and stop using QB Online. The issue is that instead of restoring my access to my company with QB Online, they have given me someone else's company. Beyond that, they keep approving ownership of QB Desktop. Granting me that has no impact.
Honestly, after this, I'm never going back to the cloud. They have no security here.
Are you still able to login as Company Admin? You can still export the data out and convert it as QB Desktop file. Then you can try to delete data by a deleter tool prior to closing your credit card account or asking your bank to block the subscription payment.
No, that's the whole issue. I can't log in and someone else has access. They've confirmed my identity every time but they still won't give me access. It's pretty scary. I expected they would have people who can resolve these issues available but we're coming up on two weeks with no resolution.

Back to your first posting. Are you using an email address with your own domain?
