Quickbooks update question

I'll show you the way to stop QuickBooks from asking for the Admin credentials, TRE-Gil.

If you're an Admin, you have the option to stay logged in to your company file and choose how long users can access it. Here's how to enable this option:

  1. Go to the Company menu.
  2. Select Set Up Users and Passwords.
  3. Choose Manage Login Settings.
  4. Under the Manage Login Settings section, click Keep user logged for drop-down arrow.
  5. From there, you can choose 1, 7, 30, 60, or 90 days.
  6. After that, click OK.

Once this is enabled, users can close or exit QuickBooks and still be able to open the file without having to enter the credentials. For further information, please see this article: Stay logged in to QuickBooks Company File.

If you're a user, I'd suggest sharing the steps to your Admin to have this option enabled.

Also, to learn how to keep your data protected, please browse this article: Password Security for QuickBooks Desktop.

Additionally, I've included this article that'll help you reset the password for QuickBooks Desktop: What To Do if You Lost or Forgot Your Password?.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know by clicking the Reply button. I look forward to hearing from you again, TRE-Gil. Keep safe!
