Quickbooks will not honor advertised promotion

Quickbooks sales/support is saying if you complete the free trial you forfeit promo for half off subscription price for 12 months. However, there is no fine print that discloses this. The website actively says, after free trial is over start the subscription at the advertised price. 

 

I do not understand why the fine print is not updated or this is changed on the website. It is frustrating to those budgeting and managing their business costs only to discover the software that helps do this is grossly misrepresented their fees.

You can only take one of the promotions, @NIJ LLC.

 

If you'll want to avail the 35% off you can subscribe to a new QuickBooks Online account. However, if you would like to subscribe to your free trial you will have to pay the $70 per month.

It seems company "forgot" to delete that old promotion link. Afaik the available promotion is 50% off for up to 6 months.

I am having the same issue for one of my non-profit clients.  We signed up and it was supposed to be 1/2 price for first year but they are being charged full price after 30 day trial.  What's up with that?  They are a small non-profit so that makes a difference to their budget believe it or not.  Very disappointing.  I will think twice before referring more clients to QBO.  There are other options.

If you sign up for a trial account, you will pay the regular rate to continue after 30 days. You have to click the Buy button to get the discounted rate when signing up for a new account..

Fiat is right. You'll have to pay the regular price if you sign up for the free trial account and continue after the trial period. 

 

Currently, the new promotion we have is 50% off for 3 months. To take advantage of this promo, you can click the Choose plan button and sign up for new account. You will still get a free trial of 30 days, and then you will be billed for the 50% off for three months.Capture.PNG

I'm not sure how that will help this client since we already have a month and a half of activity in the new QBO account we started with the free trial.  Your suggestion looks like I have to start an entire new account/company.  That will not work as we do not want to lose 6 weeks or so of activity already entered.

  • Subscribe to your free trial with the full price. 
  • Start a new company/account with the discounted price and import your data into the new account.
