Quickbooks

I have an error message on my Quickbooks page that says that my credentials have expired.  As such, I'm unable to do an online back-up of my files.  What do I need to do to fix this?

Re: Quickbooks

Hi Bill1962,

As a security precaution, your QuickBooks password must be changed every 90 days.

This is to protect sensitive information in your company file which includes credit card numbers and other Personable Identifiable Information (Social Security Number and birth date). More info is discussed in this article about password requirements in QuickBooks Desktop: Password Security for QuickBooks Desktop.

You can either click the Reset Password link in the log in page or use the Automated Password Tool to change your password. Here's the link:  https://passwordreset.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/passwordreset

However, if the message refers to changing your password for Online BackUp, download and run the Online Backup Password Utility 2.0 to change the information.

I'll be around if you have additional questions as you go a along with QuickBooks Desktop.
