Am I able to migrate any of my data from QB Pro 2008 into my new QB Self Employed?

QBSE is a stand alone product and no migration path yet. You may migrate QBD only to QBO, not QBSE.

Call and ask Intuit Data Service to convert your QBD file to QBO. Should you need to resolve in due course, consider purchasing a 3rd party file conversion service to 2020 version. Then you may self convert your data file on trial license of Pro 2020 to QBO.

We're unable to migrate data from QuickBooks Pro to QB Self-Employed, mikede1025.

If you're planning to use QBSE, you'll want to enter your data manually. You can sign up here.

Furthermore, QBSE is for self-employed individuals. There are functions from QB Pro that's unavailable in QBSE. You might want to compare the products to see the difference: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/products/.
