Be aware about switching computers

If you plan on transferring from a PC to Mac (or vice versa) be prepared to buy a new desktop version. When I bought the 2020 version last November I asked if I would have to buy new software if I got a new computer. QB said it was no problem to transfer to a new computer and I would NOT have to buy new software. They conveniently left out if I switched from PC to Mac I WOULD have to buy new software. I unexpectedly had to buy a new computer and now have to buy the software. But it's "Only $399" according to them.

Side note: I had problems with the 2020 payroll and they had to delete the version I bought and install a new one. Installing the new one required charging me for it then reimbursing me within 14 business days. I have yet to see the money. The last person I spoke with couldn't find it in the notes. Get copies of their notes and case numbers if they have to take money out of your account. (I lost the case numbers when my office moved) Within a year I will be buying 3 Desktop versions for an office that has one user. I hope QB enjoys stealing from a small business. Guess they won't hurt during COVID.

Be aware about switching computers

You are allowed to switch computers as long as you are using the same platform. You may use your current license running it on Parallels. QB Desktop Mac needs many different requirements to QB Desktop Pro/Premier.
