Billing Address On Statements

Is it possible to have a billing address on a statement? I have my invoices set up where it shows a service and billing address. If a customer has a different billing address, I currently don't know how to get that on a statement (it just shows the service address). I'm having to check each statement I send out and if the statement is to be sent elsewhere, I have to manually pull these out and address them with the correct billing address. Please help!

Billing Address On Statements

Hello there, jenakason.

Currently, having a billing address on a statement is unavailable. What you're currently doing will serve as a workaround. You'll have to manually pull up your customer's billing address so the statement will be using the correct one.

Your statement will include the following information:

  • Any balance the customer owes.
  • Date, number, amount, and description for each invoice and statement charge.
  • Date and amount of each payment received.
  • Finance charges.
  • Total amount due.

To create a statement, kindly refer to these steps:

  1. Go to the Customer menu.
  2. Select Create Statements.
  3. (Optional) Choose a template to format the statement the way you want.
  4. Select the statement dates.
  5. Choose the customers you want to print statements for.
  6. Select any additional options you want like Show invoice item detailsPrint by billing address zip code, and Print due dates on transactions.
  7. If you’ve set up payment terms for your customers, you can click Assess Financial Charges.
  8. Click Print or Email.

To learn more about entering statement charges, you can refer to pages 89 - 91 in this PDF file: QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2020 User’s Guide. It contains all information you want to know about QuickBooks for Mac version.

If you wish to use and customize a form templates for your statements in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, kindly refer to this article for the detailed steps: Use form templates. It contains information on how to access the form templates, add form fields, and adding images to forms to name a few.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
