Budget Overview Report includes deleted budget for a deleted class. How can I remove it?

Hello there, bdelacruz.

We can filter the report to show only active classes and excluding the deleted ones. Here's how:

  1. From the Reports menu, select Budget Overview report.
  2. Click Customize at the upper-right.
  3. Under the Rows/Columns select Active for both Show rows and Show columns option in the Show non-zero or active only drop-down.
  4. Click Run report to refresh.

You can check our this article to further customize the report

Budget Overview Report includes deleted budget for a deleted class. How can I remove it?

Hi there, @bdelacruz.

Let's access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account on a private or incognito window and run the Budget Overview Report from there. This way, we can check if this issue is due to the stored date from the browser.

In the long run, data piled up causes unusual behavior to the browser that can affect the views and performance of your QBO. To start with, you can use these keyboard shortcuts in opening a private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you're able to view the report without issues, then we'll need to clear your regular browser's cache to prevent this unusual behavior. This will also help your browser to function efficiently.

However, If the issue persists, try using another browser. This way, we can see and check if this a browser-related issue.

Additionally, I got you these great articles that you can read for future reference. These links provide complete information on how you can generate a report to show the details you need and save its current settings:

Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. I'm more than happy to work with you. Keep save and more success in your business!

Thanks. However, I did all of what you suggested but I think it is not a browser problem. It is still there, making the report incorrect. Please help.

I've made an account inactive, but it keeps showing up in the budget overview report. How can I delete it?

Hello there, @CME Treasurer. Thanks for joining this thread.

To delete an account in QuickBooks Online is to make it inactive. Since you've already done that, then you can follow my colleague's @Catherine_B post about how you can Customize the Budget Overview Report to hide the inactive accounts.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate and reach back out! Have a beautiful day.
