If you have to open a new QBSE account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to a few months. If you purchase from the Trial account, you have to pay the regular rate.

Hello there, @richardboothjoin.

When you accidentally sign-up for the incorrect version of QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), you need to cancel it first before signing up for the right one. With this, you'll have to cancel your QBSE US subscription and set up a new account for the UK region. I'm here to guide you how.

You can start by cancelling your QBSE US account through this article: Cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription. It provides a step-by-step guide on how to cancel either the paid subscription or a 30-day trial service. Please know that your details from the US version of QBSE won't be deleted automatically after cancellation. You can still access your account through the end of your billing period. Then, we'll keep your data for one year. This is to ensure the availability of your file for future use.

Once done, you can sign up for the QBSE UK version using this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/. I'd recommend using another email address when creating a new account. Then, follow the steps below to complete the process. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Plans & Pricing menu.
  2. Select the For Self Assessment section.
  3. Click Buy now & save or Free trial button.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

I've attached screenshots below that show the first three steps.

You can also read through these articles to further guide you in managing your QBSE account and self-employed transactions:

Please know that you're always welcome to comment below if you have other concerns or follow-up inquiries about managing your QBSE account and self-employed transactions. I'm just around to help. Take care.

Thanks for the reply but do you know if someone can delete my details, so I can use the same email on the QB UK. I don't want to change my email so the only option would be to go to another company like zero.

You're most welcome, @richardboothjoin.

I have some information on how to manage your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account and steps to get you back up and running.

First, we're unable to delete the details of your canceled QBSE US company. QuickBooks holds onto your data for a year. This way, you can access it anytime for future use.

Also, you can change the user ID of your QBSE US account. This way, you can use the same email when signing up for your QBSE UK company. I've got the steps needed to achieve this.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Log in to your QBSE US account.
  2. Click the Gear icon, and then choose Intuit Account under the About you section.
  3. Select the Sign in & security tab.
  4. Change or edit the User ID, and then enter your password.
  5. Click Save when done.

To learn more about it, please review this handy article: Change user ID in QBSE.

After that, you can begin setting up your QBSE UK company using the same email. To accomplish this, please follow the steps outlined by my peer @Rea_M above.

In case you forgot your QBSE log in info, you can use this resource for the steps on how to recover them: Reset your password or recover the user ID for QBSE.

You can count on me if you have follow-up questions about managing your account. Have a good one!
