Hi there, jdbritton.
Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I can see the importance of being able to change or transfer the master admin role in QuickBooks. With this, I'll ensure you'll be routed to the right support team to assist you further on this matter.
When the previous primary admin isn't around or can’t make the change on their own, you'll need to send a request to our account protection. Then, to protect your account and data, we need documentation to confirm that you have rightful ownership or access privileges for the account.
Furthermore, you'll have to sign in with your email to view the form. If you're unable to see a form, sign in to your Intuit Account to access QuickBooks. If you don't have an Intuit Account, you'll have to create one. After that, you'll have to make sure to complete the form with the correct information.
Once done, your case will be reviewed as soon as possible. You will receive an update via email with the status of this request. If the request is approved we’ll let you know that we transferred the primary admin or contact role to you. All you'll need to do is sign in using the email address you provided us the next time you use QuickBooks. To see further details, you can open this article: Request to be the primary admin or contact.
