Can you delete A/R and R/E off the trial balance if so how

Hello there, @usershonteal19712.

Let me share some information on how you can manage your account in your trial balance.

When you create your QuickBooks Online account and start tracking your transactions, the system automatically creates both the AR account and the RE account. The ability to delete these accounts is not available. However, you can make it inactive. By doing so, it will hide the account from menus and your chart of accounts.

  1. Go to the Gear icon ⚙.
  2. Choose Chart of accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to delete.
  4. Select the Action ▼ dropdown and select Make inactive.

You can read through these articles to learn more about how you can resolve balance-related concerns:

Lastly, I'd recommend consulting an accountant so you'd be guided properly in preparing your financial reporting.

Just dropping to make sure everything is up and running, @usershonteal19712.

Were you able to manage your AR and RE accounts using the steps I shared? Is your Trial Balance report showing the correct balance now?

I'll be around if you need more help with your concern. Wishing you all the best.
