Does anyone see different results in their mobile app vs desktop/browser dashboard expenses graph?

When I open the mobile app to get a snapshot (which is the purpose of the dashboard) of the business, and I look at my expense pie chart/circle graph, it's shows a higher number than when I look at it through the browser on my desktop. Also it includes different categories. The desktop has payroll included for instance, where the mobile doesn't account for it. My owners pay account shows on the mobile but not on the desktop. Very odd behavior... anyone else seeing this same issue?

Does anyone see different results in their mobile app vs desktop/browser dashboard expenses graph?

Hi there, DigitalExplorer.

For now, I can't see any alert or open investigation about different amounts in between the mobile app and the web version Dashboards. If the amounts in the web version are incorrect, a possible browser issue might have caused QuickBooks to show a different figure.

Try logging in to your account in an incognito or private browsing session. Use these keyboard shortcuts to open an incognito session:

  • Ctrl Shift N  for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift P for Firefox
  • Control Option +if you're using Safari
  • Ctrl Shift P for Microsoft Edge

Then, check if you can already see the same amounts. You can also use any of the browser listed above.

If you're getting the issue in the mobile app, follow the steps in this article on how to clear data that can fix most app-related issues: Troubleshooting Quick-Start Guide For The QuickBooks Online App.

Keep me posted or reach out to us again if you need more help with this. We'll make sure that we get this sorted out.

Thanks for posting this here in the Community, @PittPanthers08. Allow me to help you with your query.

For now, I can't see any alert or open investigation about  the differences with the result in dashboard expenses graph for mobile and browser.

What we can do is to uninstall and re-install the Mobile App to see if there's any changes.

These are the steps:

  1. Tap and hold the app on your phone.
  2. Drag the app to the Uninstall section.
  3. Select Yes to confirm.

In case you want to do the same for your Desktop, here's how:

For Windows 10 user, these are the steps:

  1. Click the Start menu, then go to Settings and select System.
  2. Select Apps features from the left menu.
  3. Choose the QuickBooks app, then select Uninstall.

Once done, we can now re-install the app.

If issue persists, you can contact support. This way they will be able to dig deep and investigate about the issue you're experiencing.

Please keep me updated or contact us again if you require additional assistance. I'm always around to help. Keep safe!
