EVERY SINGLE TIME I login to my company file, a "Less effort, more time with quickbooks payments" popup opens. EVERY SINGLE TIME. My preferences are set to "Turn off popup messages for products and services. I also put a check in the lower left corner of the popup EVERY SINGLE TIME that says" Please do not show the message again." The popup still opens EVERY SINGLE TIME I login to my company file.

I understand how the pop-up message bothered you every single time you log in to your Quickbooks. Great job for turning that off for products and services. 

 

Since it's still coming up, open a sample company file and see if the pop-up shows. This is to identify if it's the QuickBooks software itself has damage, or just the company file. 

 

If it shows using the sample file, that means it's your Quickbooks software. I'd suggest you back up your company file, then restart your computer to make sure there are no program affects the repair. Once ready, let's run the repair tool to fix your Quickbooks Desktop. Here's how: 

 

  1. Open the Windows Start menu, then select Control Panel.
  2. Click Programs and Features, then Uninstall a Program. If you don't see this, select Programs instead, then choose Program and Features.
  3. Click QuickBooks from the list of Programs, then Uninstall/Change.
  4. Select Continue, or Next.
  5. Click Repair, then Next.

 

The repair may take a while to finish. Once done, click Finish. I'd also recommend you restart your computer again to complete the repair. For your reference, check out this article: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop and learn about what to do in case you get an error during the repair. 

 

You can also Update your QuickBooks to the latest release to make sure you have the most recent fixes and security updates.

Ran the QBooks repair and that seemed to stop the popup. I went ahead and ran the repair/rebuild and verify of my company file while I was at it. Thanks. At least you sent me in a direction. QBooks support never did anything at all. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Ran the QBooks repair and that seems to have stopped the popup. I also ran the repair/rebuild company file and data verification while I was at it. At least you sent me in a direction. QBooks support never did anything at all. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
