  2. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as the primary or company admin.
  3. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Subscriptions and billing.
  4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online. If you're cancelling a trial, select Cancel your trial.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps.

I talked to someone yesterday that signed me up for 3 accounts but I really want one account with 3 chart of accounts.  I’m just really confused and ready to just cancel the whole thing.

If you have two unnecessary accounts in QuickBooks, you cancel them easily. However, please note that having only one QBO account with just three chart of accounts in the system isn't possible. This is because there are built-in default chart of accounts that you can see when you open QuickBooks.

 

To cancel an account:

 

  1. Open the QuickBooks account in question.
  2. Select the Gear icon at the top right.
  3. Choose Subscriptions and billing under PROFILE.
  4. Find the product, then click on Cancel.
  5. A window will appear. Follow the onscreen instructions.

 

Please know that you can reactivate your account anytime.

Once you cancel your QBO subscription, you will only have Read-only access to your account. This mode will allow you to view and download it, depending on the data availability and exportation policies after performing the canceling process.

 

On the other hand, the ability to make changes is not available when the cancelation procedure is complete. Thus, you can resubscribe to the program to utilize your account again and manage your business. Please know QuickBooks preserves your company data for 365 days following the cancelation date. That said, if you resubscribe during the period, your data will still be available. I'll show you how to reactivate your subscription:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear ⚙ icon, then select Subscriptions and Billing.
  3. Click Resubscribe for the QuickBooks plan.
  4. Enter the updated billing info, then press Subscribe.

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to our sign-in help page.
  2. Enter the phone number, email address, or user ID for your account.
  3. If you enter a phone number or email address, we’ll send you a text or email with a verification code. If you enter a user ID, choose which method you prefer.
  4. Enter the verification code we sent, or follow the instructions in the message. We may ask you for a little more info to make sure it’s really you.
  5. When prompted, reset your password. Or, you can select Skip.

 

However, if you lost access to your phone number and email address, you could use the account recovery form in this article to recover your account as an alternative. We'll process your account request within one business day.

 

Regarding the receipt updates, once you upload a receipt, the system does not automatically update it. Instead, QBSE extracts the details from the receipt and creates a transaction for your review. If you want to ensure accurate receipt details detection, you can also clear your data to allow the program to identify the details accurately. 


However, if the issue persist, I suggest that you get in touch with our QuickBooks Support team. You can follow the detailed steps below:

 

  1. In your QBSE account, click Assistance from the top bar.
  2. Enter your concern, then select Talk to a human and choose I still need a human.
  3. Choose a way to connect with support.
