How do I purge my data and start over? I have the base online package.

The option to purge company data is only available for QuickBooks Essentials, Plus, and Advanced users with less than 60 days old worth of data. If you’re on Simple Start, and need to start over, you will need to cancel your account and sign-up to start a new company.

Step 1: Cancel your current account

1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and Settings.
2. Select the Billing and subscription tab.
3. Select Cancel subscription.
4. Follow the steps to cancel your account. If you use payroll, you should cancel your payroll account too.

Step 2: Start a new company

1. Sign up for QuickBooks Online
2. Enter your user ID and password. You can use the same user ID and password you used before.
3. Optional: If you use payroll, sign up for payroll again in the Workers or Payroll menu.

You are unable to purge QBO Simple Start. Open a new account instead.
