How do I renew my Quick Books Self Employed Subscription, if I won't be using Turbotax this year?

I'm here to share some insights about how Self-Employed + TurboTax Bundle works, marjorierubin.

If you signed up for the bundle, but won't be using TurboTax anymore, we can change your bundle to QuickBooks Self-Employed only. Please know that when we downgrade your bundle, we'll be also losing all the TurboTax Self-Employed features. I've listed them below:

  • File faster by exporting your Schedule C to TurboTax
  • E-file one state and one federal return without filing fees
  • Online payment for quarterly taxes

Once you're done updating billing and subscription details, you can follow these steps in renewing your subscription for QuickBooks Self-Employed only:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top, then go to the Billing info.
  2. Look for the QuickBooks Self-Employed (basic).
  3. Select Subscribe now.
  4. Enter your credit card's CVV code to confirm, then choose Subscribe to bundle.
  5. Select Done.

If your subscription is about to expire or you've already subscribe to the bundle, you can refer to these steps in downgrading your subscription:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Billing info.
  3. At the bottom of the Billing Info page, click Cancel now.
  4. Select the Keep QuickBooks Self-Employed option.
  5. Hit Change subscription.

In case you'll need to use TurboTax in filing your tax form in the future, I've included an article that will help you in upgrading your account.

I'll be right here to keep helping if you need additional assistance in managing your accounts. Have a pleasant weekend.

Thanks for joining in on the thread, Asgar.

With the steps provided by KlentB, you  should be able to subscribe to a different subscription. Since that's not the case, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They can review your account and provide you option on how you can update or change your subscription. You can reach them by following the steps in this link: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

Keep us posted so we can further assist you in renewing your subscription.
