How to make an expense report by checks written or more simply stated a check report I’m using QB online on my iPad Pro 2018

Start with a transaction list by supplier and filter for payment type = check

Or run a quick report on your check register and filter for payments and payment type. This will help identify all checks including payroll or refunds to customers.

However, running QB on an iPad or android will limit what reports you can run. Bypass the mobile app and use preferred browser Chrome to access full site for your company file.

As mentioned by john-pero , currently, you can only run the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) app on your iPad Pro 2018. However, you can access your QBO account via a web browser to pull up the Check Detail report to view the checks you've written.

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. Type Check in the search box, then select Check Detail.
3. Select the Customize button.
4. Set the Report period in the General section.
5. For additional details, select the Rows/Columns and the Filter sections to focus on specific accounts.
6. Click Run report.
