When downloading the QuickBooks application, you don't have to create a new account. Instead, you can sign in to your existing QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
The six (6) digit code will be sent to your email address connected to your QBO account. Once the code is entered, you can now process on adding a user through the QBO app from your Ipad.
Here's how:
Once done, your new user will receive an email from quickbooks-email@intuit.com to accept the invitation.

I put in the log in information for the user input a phone #, saw the pop up for the 6-digit code but selected skip thinking I could just do it later. Then it thought I was logging into a whole new QB account. How do I fix? Already have an account, this was going to be a limited access user.

We can log in using the Master Admin access instead of the user. It's possible that the user only have limited access that can only be accessed using the browser.
We might want to use a browser and add the user from there, still using the Master Admin log in credentials. I'll show you how:
