Hello there, DelveFore.
I'd like to ask if we encountered an error when trying to reconnecting the bank. It's possible that the bank is having a maintenance that's why we're unable to see it. We can try logging into the bank's website if there are any notifications or alerts that needs to taken into account first.
In the meantime, we can manually add bank downloaded transactions manually. I'll show you how:
Any additional information is much appreciated. Take care always!
We are having the same issue. Up until last Thursday all accounts were linked with no problems, but now only our main checking is linked, but our Payroll Clearing Account and Money Market are no longer linked. All three accounts are with the same bank and we use the same info to access our accounts, so it's interesting that one account is still linking, but the others are not. Frustrating!!!
Thanks for joining the thread, @marmar113.
I'll make sure this impression is taken care of, and I have two scenarios I know why QuickBooks is no longer linked to your banking accounts.
This way, I'd suggest going to your bank's website and sign in to verify one of the scenarios above. Besides, you can contact your bank to verify if they have ongoing connection maintenance with Online Banking.
On the other hand, you can manually update your bank accounts by going to the Transactions/Banking menu, then select Banking and then click the Update button to refresh your bank's connection to QuickBooks.
Also, if you make changes to your bank account credentials, make sure to update QuickBooks' sign-in information as well. I'll add this article as your reference: What to do if bank transactions won’t download or there's a bank error.
Once you've successfully connected your bank, QuickBooks automatically downloads your transactions. You can check out this article for the complete information: Match and categorize bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. It also contains steps about excluding personal or duplicate transactions.
Furthermore, may I know the banks' names? I'll make sure the information you'll need won't leave you dangling.
I'll wait for your reply if you have more questions and additional details. I'll be happy to help. Stay safe and healthy!
Not super impressed with the response or solutions. If you read my post carefully you’ll see that all 3 of my accounts are with the same bank. Our main checking account is STILL properly linked. But the other 2 are not. I have a hard time believing that system maintenance by my bank would be the issue if one of my accounts is STILL linked and updating properly.
We use F&M Bank of Central California. Similar conversations via the “chat” feature yesterday were equally not very helpful. This is clearly a QBO issue that your developers need to review, NOT a Bank or end user issue. I’m pretty tech savvy and have already tried updating, reconnecting, etc. And again, these accounts were preoprly linked until Sunday and stopped linking on Monday.
I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've performed, @marmar113.
QuickBooks connection with your bank is a read-only type. Every time your bank updates their website or make any changes on it, the connection is automatically disconnected. Let me share additional information to re-establish the seamless bank connection.
Once connected, you'd want to make sure that your old connection and the new one is merged. This is to ensure that there were will be no duplicate records of transactions. For more detailed steps, you can refer to this article: How to merge accounts, customers, and vendors.
If the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They have the tools to securely look up your account. Also, a specialist can run an in-depth investigation on the root cause of the issue.
Here's how to contact us:
You can check this article for more detailed information about the support we offer at Intuit and its availability: Support hours and types.
Please keep me updated on how the conversation goes. I'll be here if you need anything else. Have a great day!
So, I’m supposed to enter Farmers & Merchants Long Bach, even though we use Farmers & Merchants Central California (fmbonline.com)?
I did try that step as well, and entered F&M Central Cal, but it said something about how that account was already linked/connected, so it wouldn’t let me proceed to the next step.
Looks like I may have to call Customer Care this afternoon. 🤨
I have already been 5 months without a download from the bank of america and all the help refers to tabs that don't even exist in my quickbooks desktop 2019. Yes I have been a user since 2013 but I do not have a "contact us" option people. And when I respond vie forum I get the same t&^$%^*%$*%^$%^*E$*%$^ response template again and again. Pick up the phone and help me for real - 5 months and counting!
I'd like to help you, Nieke.
I've checked our records. I haven't seen any open cases for Desktop versions. I'd like to know more about this, though. Did you encounter any specific error messages?
In the meantime, you can check this reference on how to fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
If you're still encountering the same issue after trying the article, I can give you another way on how to contact us. Please follow these steps:
Don't hesitate to swing by if you have more questions. Keep safe!
Well I went through the helpdesk of Quickbooks - again. So my issue was send in - again. Of course the rep first wants to sell me the newest version of 2020 because "hey, only then he can help me - he can't help me with this version and if I buy that version he can do screen sharing" which we all know is not true. I'be done screen sharing with all versions.
Quickbooks always is sell first, pay something and then maybe we will help you - unless wait - you have not signed up for that subscription service. Done that in 2013, 2015. Just help first and I may buy Quickbooks again in the future.
And all the article with help on the topic, do not work.
I've been having a dickens of time getting Quickbooks Desktop to connect to TD for online billpay. I tried everything that's been written about everywhere. Finally, it occurred to me to change the name of the account in Quickbooks so that it matches the name of the account in TD Bank. For instance, I've always called the Quickbooks account "TD Bank". However, TD calls the account "TD BUSINESS CONVENIENCE PLUS". So, I changed the name of the account in Quickbooks to "TD BUSINESS CONVENIENCE PLUS" and great big BINGO. So stoopid, but it worked.
