Hello, kstansbury.

I'll explain some details to help you manage your DE9C form in QuickBooks Online(QBO).

Can you share with me the type of payroll service you have? In QBO, we offer QuickBooks Payroll Enhanced and Full-Service Payroll. If you have the Enhanced or Basic Payroll subscription, we provide you the tools so you can handle your payroll and tax filing on your own. With this, you can prepare the DE9C form for filing. I'll show you how.

  1. Click Employees at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Payroll Center.
  3. Choose on the File Forms tab.
  4. In the File Forms screen, scroll down and look for your DE9C to open.
  5. Click on Check for Errors button on the lower right side area, to see if you need to correct anything.
  6. A box will then appear on the upper part of the form. If there’s an error, click on the error to correct it.
  7. After correcting, you can then click Submit Form on the lower right.
  8. You’ll have the Submit Form screen where you can choose to Print or E-file the form.

On the other hand, if you have the Full-Service Payroll. You can choose who will handle your payroll and filing your taxes. If you're not sure what payroll service you have, I'd suggest reaching out to our Payroll Support Team. They'll be able to pull up your account and verify your subscription.

In addition, I've included this resource if you want to view past filed forms and tax payments: Access payroll tax forms and tax payments.

I'm happy to answer all of your questions again regarding the DE9C form. You can add any details to your reply. I'm here to help you.
