I have lost functionalty in QB Desktop, e.g. I cannot access account registers or statement charges. My subscription is still active. Should I reinstall QB?

QB installed on 2 PCs & I have 2 companies. I cannot access registers or statement charges on either PC for either company.

I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Support team to add you to the notification list of affected users. Once added, you'll receive live updates on the current status of the issue and its fixes.

 

We have made some changes to our Support options for QuickBooks Desktop. Our representatives are available through chat to accommodate all our customers' concerns effectively. Always enable pop-up windows on your browser settings to launch the chat window.

 

To get our support, follow the steps below:

  1. Open QuickBooks and click the Help menu.

  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.

  3. On the pop-up screen, select Contact Us.
  4. Click the Search for Something else button then type your concern in the Ask us anything box.
  5. Click Search then scroll down to get your contact options.

 

Once connected, please provide this investigation number to the representative: INV-49965 - Cannot open Account Registers in QuickBooks and Unrecoverable error when opening Reports.

Thanks. I tried chat earlier but couldn't connect. Perhaps it was blocked popups. Anyway, while it is frustrating, it's reassuring that my problem isn't unique. I've since tried some other functionality in QB and nothing works. I can open my company files and view Home and all data appear to be there. I can open most menu items, e.g. Chart of Accounts, but can't open any accounts.

 

To "join the conversation" should I open QB Help and then Chat?
