In case you, like me, were waiting for this to be resolved it seems like it works now. I was able to create reports filtering by Customer Type as of this morning. Good to know they're actually updating this thing.
We're now working to resolve this issue right away, staff.
The error you're getting when customizing a report by customer type has been escalated to our product team. They're still investigating its cause to determine the solution. Right now, I'd recommend giving us a call. We'll add you to the affected users' list, so you'll receive an update when there's an available fix.

I have never seen the option in the Customer Contact List Report option to filter by "Customer Type". Are you sure you once had this option?
Yes I'm sure. It's in the Customer Reports.
I already did when I came up with the idea to use customer type about a month ago. I was going to contact you all again but the only option it showed was this so I went ahead and posted.
