I need to purge and restart a new qb program. also have access to another qb account I help with, will purge affect that on? the number of accounts on mine is wrong?

You can purge your company if your account is less than 60 days. I'll guide you on how to delete your data:

1. Log in to your account. 
2. Look at the URL in the browser's address bar, then delete everything after the last /.
3. Add purgecompany (Example: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany).
4. Select Yes to confirm.
5. Click Wipe data. 

Purging a company file will not affect the other data. 

Although, if your account is more than 60 days already, you'll have to cancel your account. Then, start a new one.

Here's how:

1. Visit our website so you can sign up. 
2. Enter your credentials.
3. Click Sign in or Sign up. 

Regarding the number of accounts, it could be you're added as a user to a different account. That could be the reason why you can see a lot of companies.
