I've got a couple of scenarios to ensure you can view the said reports in QuickBooks Online, @amy-l-potter-dar.
First, if you're a non-profit company, the said reports have different name equivalents. The Profit and Loss report is called the Statement of Activity, while the Balance Sheet report is termed as Statement of Financial Position.

Another factor is the type of QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription you have. Most of the reports are available for all QBO users. Some, however, are only accessible for certain subscription levels. However, if you're using QBO Advanced and still not seeing those reports, you can log in to your account using a private window. This can help us determine if it's a browser-related issue due to stored cache. Below are the shortcut keys you can use to access one:
- Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome
. - Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox
and Microsoft Edge
. - Command + Shift + N for Safari
.
If it works, clear your browser's cache to delete the piled up files that cause unusual QuickBooks Online responses. However, you may use another supported browser if you got the same outcome.
You can customize your reports to personalize the details and formats you need the most. Then, memorize them to save their current customization settings for easy access.
