I removed access to a client. Now I need to regain access. Client still shows me as the accountant & can't resend invitation. How do I regain access?

Hi there, @KennyL.

 

Thank you for reaching out in the Community regarding your accountant access. I'm here to help ensure your client can resend the invitation successfully.

 

The reason why your client can't resend the invitation is that you've already accepted it before.  To be able to resend the invitation, you'll need to be removed first on his/her Accounting firms screen. 

 

Let your client follow the steps below:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then choose Manage users.
  2. Go to Accounting firms tab, then find the accountant you wish to remove.
  3. From the Action drop-down, choose Delete.
  4. Select Delete to confirm.

Once your access is removed on the Accounting firms screen, your client can now invite you again. You can refer to this article for more information: Invite or remove an accountant.

 

That should do it. Should you need other references for future use, you can always visit our help site: Help articles for QuickBooks Accountant Online.
