If you plan on accessing the data within one year you could simply cancel your subscription. Your data then exists as reports only for 365 days. Any time within that you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off. But that is not ideal and you would have to re-sign for a month, then cancel then repeat annually.
There is no online backup accessible to view any time you wish like there is with desktop.
You cannot, yet, directly export from ABO to desktop for Mac. You will need a windows computer to export first to QB for PC then convert to QB for Mac.
