I upgraded my quickbooks but got 2 companies now, the original the upgraded version

instead of being upgraded to the next version the old company stayed the same but I get a new company for the upgraded version without my info now I have 2 companies

You have to navigate to Billing and Subscription menu to upgrade/downgrade your plan. If you clicked the Buy button, it will open a new blank QBO account.

I'm here to help you today. You can cancel your other new QBO account on the Billing & Subscription page. Then, your data will be available in a read-only access for one year from the cancellation date. 

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO account, then go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Click on Billing and subscription at the left pane.
  4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
  5. Choose Continue to cancel, then select the Continue to cancel button (if it shows on your screen).
  6. Follow the next steps.
  7. Tap Submit and cancel subscription.
  8. Hit Got it

 

Once you're done, we'll send the account administrator an email that confirms we cancelled your subscription.

i purchased my subscription on the app store on my iphone but i am also using it on my desktop, problem is all my data is on this account but i do not have the option to upgrade on the app or online and i really need to upgrade to pro

Upgrading your account to a newer version is a great idea, @leibgross.

 

With this, you'll be able to take advantage of the latest features to optimize your navigation. However, since you've purchased your QBO subscription from the app store, the option to upgrade this is unavailable. This is because the product is currently billed for through a mobile app store account. To upgrade it, you may need to move your account from App Store Billing to Intuit Billing. This is also to avoid double billing.

 

To do this, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Care team. They can pull your account in a private place and make sure you have the right information before taking the steps. They can also provide in-depth details about the process. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. From the Assistant tab, enter a brief description of your concern. Example: Upgrade my QBO account purchased from the App Store.
  3. Then, type Talk to a human.
  4. Select Yes, then Get help from a human.
  5. Choose either Start a Chat or Have us call you.
