Is there any way to get a report by account (chart of accounts) that has the modified date on it?

I made some entries to FY 2019 transactions in FY 2020 in error. I am trying to figure out how I can find them!

I'll help generate a report showing the modified dates, @jknightcs2.

You can run the Transaction Detail by Account report and then customize it to see the modified date for each transaction. I can share the needed steps to achieve this.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Look for and choose the said report from the search bar.
  3. Click the Customize button at the top, and then choose a Report period.
  4. Go to the Rows/Columns section, and then make sure to select Account from the Group by drop-down list.
  5. Click the Change columns link, and then check the Last Modified box.
  6. You can also go to the Filter section, and then select the Transaction Type you'd like to view.
  7. Click Run report when you're ready.

To save a copy of the said report, you can memorize it. This way, you can access it anytime for future use.

You can count on me if you have some follow-up questions about managing your reports in QuickBooks Online. I'd be happy to help you some more.
