Is there one report that will show the Est that are to be billed for a project and the POs issued to contractors. I need to see the est revenue and cost on one report

This is different to the report that shows actual revenue and costs. I need to see what the projected revenue and cost are.

I know the reports you can run to learn about your project's profitability, @djd2020.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can only pull up separate reports to track your project's estimates, purchase orders and its expected revenue and costs.

First, you can run the Project profitability report to know your expected income and expenses. Just make sure to choose Accrual as the accounting method to get these details.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Navigate through the Projects page.
  2. Select the desired project, and then go to the Project Reports tab.
  3. Choose Project Profitability, and then click the View link.
  4. Select Accrual as the Accounting method, and then choose other filters as you see fit.
  5. Click Run report when you're ready.

Also, estimates and purchase orders (PO) are considered non-posting transactions. Thus, there are separate reports for them. For this purpose, you can utilize a Transaction report instead.

To do this, you can click each amount on the Project profitability report. Then, customize it to show non-posting transactions only, and the income/expenses accounts. Please see the screenshot below for your reference:

Another option is to use the Estimates by Customer report for estimates and Open Purchase Order Detail for PO. Here are the easy steps how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Look for and select these reports from the search bar.
  3. You can filter them further to personalize them.

If you wish to save your report's customization settings, you can memorize them in QBO.

I'm still ready to back you up if you have other questions about reports in QuickBooks. I'm here to help you.
