LOCATE CUSTOMERS MERGED

I got you covered in locating your missing customers in QuickBooks Desktop, @Tthomas2.

Let's run the file doctor to help find the customers that you've merged. This process resolves missing names on your company file.

To that, you'll need to download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub so you can utilize the file doctor.

Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. We recommend you download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Once done, you can now run the QuickBooks File Doctor from the QuickBooks Tools Hub and follow the instructions in the tool. If doing this doesn't make a difference, I recommend restoring a backup of your company file. This way, you can retrieve your customers' data.
