Locked out of Quickbooks

Good Morning, @user94186.

I hope you're having a great week so far. To give you the best solution, what's causing you to be locked out of your account? (Examples: Error messages, incorrect credentials, etc.) If you're receiving an error message, let's try to clear your browsing data. This will allow you to log into QuickBooks without messages or glitches standing in your way. Here's on how:

Google Chrome

  1. Go to the Three Vertical Dots in the top right-hand corner of the browser.
  2. Choose History and then History again.
  3. Press Clear Browsing Data on the left-hand side of the screen.
  4. Select All Time in the "Time Range" drop-down box.
  5. Click Clear Data

That's it! Afterward, try logging back into your account. If you're using a different browser, here's a link that can give you the details on how to clear file data within your browser.

Touch base with me after trying these steps, and let me know how it goes. I'll be waiting for your response.

Locked out of Quickbooks

Hey there, ShenIA1.

Thanks for reaching out for support here in the Community. I want to make sure you're able to log in to your QuickBooks Desktop account.

Since you're currently locked out of the system, I recommend trying the Automated Password Reset Tool. Here's how:

1. Download the Automated password tool for QuickBooks Desktop

2. Select your version of QuickBooks Desktop.

3. Fill in the QuickBooks license number and business info used when you registered QuickBooks and then select Next.

4. Accept the license agreement.

5. Run the Automated Password Reset tool and then enter the token number received via email.

6. From the QuickBooks Desktop Products drop-down, select the same QuickBooks version.

7. Select Browse for Company File, and then choose the company file you want to reset the password for.

8. Enter the correct Company File Admin User Name.

9. Enter your New Password and then Confirm New Password.

10. Select Reset Password to complete the process.

The following linked article provides additional info about this process: Use the Automated Password Reset Tool for QuickBooks Desktop

By completing these steps you'll be back to working in your company file in no time. Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any other questions.
