Mobile app default invoice payment settings

Mobile App is not pulling correct settings over from online account.

1. Our online QB Account Settings - Invoice Payment Settings - are set to Bank Payments and Credit Card Payments turned OFF. It has been this way for a long time; I did not just recently change the settings. However, when our Salesperson uses the QB Mobile App, it always has the Bank and CC payments options turned ON on any invoices that he puts in via the Mobile App.

2. Invoices entered on the mobile app are defaulting to "Based On Location" for tax rate, even if the Account/Customer is set up as "Wholesale Tax."

Both of these bugs are extremely frustrating as I have to manually go in to each invoice in the browser on my laptop and change the settings after he has done all of his invoices in the app, and ain't nobody got time for that. I've used the Help/Chat to try and figure out this problem - spent over an hour on chat going through everything I'd already gone through myself - only to be told that this is just how the mobile app is and they'll let the engineering team know so they can put it on their roadmap.

Has anyone else encountered this, and have you found a solution that maybe I haven't tried yet? Yes, we've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on his phone/tablet multiple times; nothing changed. And there is no option to change the Invoice Payment options on the mobile app in the account settings. Thanks-

Mobile app default invoice payment settings

Hi there, @dctcb76.

I appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback about your experience with the mobile app.

There are some settings that are currently designed to be set through a web browser and not on the mobile app, such as the invoice payment option.

We recognize that each company has unique needs, and I can see how the feature you're looking for would benefit and empower your business. I recommend sending this request straight to our product engineers through feedback. It helps us improve the features of the program.

To send feedback, follow the below steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

For future reference, here's an article to guide you on how to check when QuickBooks deposits customer payments into your bank account: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

If you need anything else, please let me know. I want to help in any way I can.

Mobile app default invoice payment settings

Hi, this is not a "feature," this is something that should automatically match up online to mobile app! This is the way we have our business/account set up, which should match across all QuickBooks platforms. This is a bug in your app. I appreciate the response and the info on how to send stuff to your product engineers (which I'll do), but please don't treat this as a "nice to have." This is very bad that the settings are different for the same business in the online version and the mobile app version, and not even an option to manually change the mobile app settings to match the online, at the very least.

Thank you-

Mobile app default invoice payment settings

I have found the same issue: that being, any default invoice settings I make on the website are not available on the iOS app. To me, it seems that the same functionality of the website should be available on the mobile app, such as making or editing default settings. Even if this is not possible, users should at least be able to make the default settings on the website and have them transfer over to the mobile app. Without that functionality, it seems that the mobile app is not useful.
