My upgrade from QB Online 2021 Essential to Plus still doesn't appear on my account

Once you upgrade, how long does it take to see the changes on the current account?

 

Today, I moved my QB Desktop Pro 2019 to QB Online Essentials 2021. This was quick and easy with the help of QB customer service. Received the confirmation email a little less than 20 minutes. But later on in the day, I realized that QB Online Plus was more suited for my company's uses. I called customer service again and let them know about upgrading to Plus. They quickly made the change and informed me I should receive an email confirming the upgrade. I haven't received any emails after more than an hour. How long will it take for me to receive this email and see the upgrade on my current account? Tomorrow is already time to submit payroll so I am a bit worried.

When you upgrade your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription (from Essentials to Plus), the update will automatically be implemented into your account. You're able to see the immediate changes and utilize additional features like tracking inventory and project or job profitability, to name a few.

 

Generally, you'll receive an email notification regarding the update within an hour. When you're unable to receive one, let's go to the Account and Settings page to verify that your account is now upgraded to QBO Plus. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Choose the Billing & Subscription menu.
  4. In the QuickBooks Online section, you'll see QuickBooks Plus

 

I've attached a screenshot below that shows the last two steps.

 

Once verified, go ahead and run your payroll so you can pay your employees on time. Then, pull up the necessary payroll report to effectively monitor your business expenses and payroll taxes.

 

Additionally, you're able to manage billing, payment, and subscription info through the Billing & Subscription page. Keep in mind, the discounted rate is not applicable when upgrading/downgrading your plan. You may open a new blank QBO Plus account and migrate data from QBD.
