Join nowHas anyone just flown through the Advanced Certification exams? I'm really stumped. I've tried all 5 sections - failed all. Passed Section 1 on the second attempt (72% first time). I spent almost 2 hours on Section 2 the second time and got the same score (54%) as the first time, which means that I missed every question, every part on the second attempt. Some of the answers of the case studies I could not even match any of the given answers. I even worked through the math issues in Excel and still had no luck.
Looking for some suggestions or help!!
Good morning @jwpemberton:
As you you are already aware, the test is difficult. It is designed that way so have to really study hard and only the people that put in the time and effort pass. One Important tip is you need to really go through the PDF that accompanies the file and also the videos. You can leave the PDF open on another screen. Refer back to them.
I also suggest that you screenshot your answers as you take the test. That way you can refer back to those when you find you already answered with an incorrect answer.
This may not be the most accurate stat, however, I believe it’s only 10% of the proadvisers actually take the time and effort to pass that advanced test. As you know it puts you at the top of the list in the proadvisor search. So if you have the time it’s worth your effort.
I hope that helps and I wish you success in taking that test!

I don't think anyone 'flies' through this exam. There is often a lot of crying and stomping at the frustrating nature of the questions.
Hi,
Do you have updates? How is it going? This is an ongoing issue it is frustrating me. I have been inside the house for a week working on this.
Hi,
How are you doing with the advanced certification?
I am frustrated. I can't believe the amount of time I spent on this.
Hi, CTorres310.
Allow me to provide some information about taking the QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification.
When completing the QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification, the Learning Modules and Module Reviews at the end of each section can be completed at your leisure. You'll have as many attempts as you'd like on the individual reviews. We recommend allowing up to three (3) hours for fully completing the entire exam.
Each section of the exam requires an 80% score to pass and you can make up to three attempts to pass the whole exam. If you do not pass in the first three attempts, you are locked out for 60 days. When the 60 days are up, you can take the certification exam again.

If you require more information about this, feel free to reach out to our ProAdvisor Team. You can reach them through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/accountants/training-certification/certifications/.
Keep me posted if you have additional questions about the Advanced Certification. I'd be happy to answer them for you.
We appreciate your time for sharing your sentiments here in the Community, @truleigh.
If the self-paced training doesn't work for you, you can also sign up for webinars and in-person training directly from the Training tab of the ProAdvisor page.
You can find our upcoming events and reserve your place too so you can get started with the latest features and product updates of QuickBooks Online for Accountant. Those free sessions will also teach you about how to get the most out of QB Online for your clients.
You can also refer to @lynda's suggestions. With you being well versed in QBO and being updated with the latest features and product updates, pretty sure you'll be able to pass the Advanced Certification on your next exam after the locked out period.
I wish you and your business continued success. Don't hesitate to write again if you need anything else. All the best!

I just spent the better part of 5 days taking the test. Failed about half of it. After 3 attempts I'm now locked out for 60 days THE TEST IS WAY TOO HARD! I'm very well versed in QBO. I've used it every day for years. It's tricky, there are match questions. The training materials are useless. It's not the CPA exam. They shouldn't deliberately obfuscate the education. They wonder why QBO is not taking off. I'm frustrated and angry.

What PDF? I certainly no longer see any pdf that cover the material, I know they use to.
I'm here to help guide you to the right support so you'll be able to download the materials for the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced Certification, @ttanner.
As of now, I recommend contacting with our ProAdvisor Support Team. This way, they'll be able to guide you to the direct link where you can download the PDF materials.

I want to make sure you're able to complete the certification, @cindy K,
Before anything else, may I know if this is happening when using a different browser? Our Support Team suggests completing the examination using Firefox. Using a private window can also fix this issue. Use these keyboard shortcuts:
Alternatively, you can clear cache or delete your temporary internet files. You may receive an error when working in QuickBooks Online if your browser is holding too much data from previous browsing sessions. Check out this article to get the complete steps with your respective browser: How Do I Clear My Browser Cache And Temporary Internet Files?
However, if the same issue occurs after trying the steps, I would recommend contacting our QuickBooks Care Team. There they can open an investigation on what's causing the unresponsive behavior of the Submit button.
Please update me how this goes or if you need further assistance. I'll be more than glad to help you any time. Have a nice day!
It's hard work. Over and over. Don't take the test until you can pass the module tests easily. Do the CPE tests even if you don't need the hours. Take snaps of the CPE questions. Print these and research the correct answer. The module tests snap the right answers. As you go through the training snap important bits. Just keep practicing.
I'm struggling with this exam. I missed more questions on my second attempt than I did on my first.
I have taken the virtual conference for the QBO Advanced Certification and have also downloaded all of the supplemental guides, which I have read more the twice and I still cannot pass the exam. I have also done the ProAdvisor training courses. It would be more beneficial if I knew what the right answers were. If I fail a 3rd time and wait to take it again in 60 days and don't pass, I still won't know what the correct answers are. How will this help me in my practice if I never understand?
I know this wasn't an easy process for you, my2girls4me. I have faced the same problems myself.
I appreciate you taking time to share your experience. With this being said, I'll be communicating with our Product Development team to add your feedback about the advanced recertification exam.

Hi,
Is there anyone here having problem with the sample company use to take the exam? I was not able to proceed with the exam because the sample company won't allow me to activate the class tracking which is needed with the scenario given. If I go to Account and settings, It only show the company tab.
Need help.
Thanks for joining the conversation, @xypol,
Have you tried using a private window, or an alternate browser to open the sample file? Is it giving you the same odd behavior?
If you haven't yet, try these keyboard shortcuts depending on the browser:
You may also clear the browser's cache to clear the browsing history and start with a clean slate.
If the problem persists after trying the troubleshooting steps, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Team. They are particularly monitoring and handling Certified Accountant customers and can help escalate this report to our Developers for a thorough review.

So after taking the exam 3 times, and passing all but 2 sections I am convinced the test "Where did I go wrong" section is bogus. I say this because when I compared that to the exam only 1 question pertained to those bullets. If those questions weren't included when I took the exam, how can I focus on something that isn't applicable? Would certainly be interested in collaborating/comparing with others who have taken this exam and are as equally as frustrated as I am. Feel free to reach out to me via email at [email address removed]. Maybe we can help each other because the responses provided by intuit aren't sufficient nor satisfactory.
