Reclassifying

Hi,

I have a customer who is trying to reclassify and find transactions the process takes roughly 30 minutes to load the data with the CPU and RAM running at less than 50%. The filter is set to 30 days does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be improved?

Thanks,

Reclassifying

Greetings, @BeJohn213.

Thank you for visiting the Community. I'd be happy to help share some troubleshooting steps how you can reclassify transactions, and so you get back to business in no time.

There are a variety of factors that slow down QuickBooks’ speed and performance. Here are some of them:

  • When you are trying to operate QuickBooks Desktop over a network or with a big company file.
  •  Company file tasks slow down as the number of users signing into the file increases (multi-user environment).
  •  The stability of the connection between QuickBooks Desktop and RDP.

To fix this, we recommend more than one solutions to get past the performance issues. Before performing any of the troubleshooting steps below, please make sure to create a backup copy of your company file.

Once done, the following article contains about this, as well as the additional links in resolving performance issues in QuickBooks Desktop: Manage your computers.

The steps are quite complex if you need to reach out for more, I recommend calling our Technical Support. They can use screen sharing to guide you through the steps.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Select your product at the top right.
  3. Select your QuickBooks version.
  4. Select a topic.
  5. Click on the Get Phone Number button.

That should do it. Feel free to keep in touch if you have other questions about reclassifying transactions. I'm just a post away. Have a great day ahead.
