Hi there, @CMPC.

Yes, there's no need for you to enter your credit card information once signing up for a free trial version in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This version will only require your email address, mobile number, and password for you to sign up.

Once you've started the free trial, it won't charge you any bill from day 1 until the end of the subscription.

You may have selected a paid subscription instead of a trial version in QuickBooks. This is the reason why the system asks for your credit card information and immediately charged on the first day.

However, you can still cancel this subscription by following these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Billing & Subscription tab and click Cancel subscription or Cancel online in the QuickBooks section.cancel1.PNG
  3. Select Continue to cancel, then click Continue to cancel again.
  4. Follow the next steps and continue the cancellation by selecting Submit and cancel subscription.
  5. Click Got it.

Once you're done, we'll send the account administrator an email that confirms we canceled your subscription.

After this, you can contact our customer support to request a refund for the canceled subscription.

Also, here are the links you can use once you sign up for available trial versions in QBO:
