Good afternoon, @debbie41.
Let's try a few other troubleshooting steps so we can get you back to business.
How do I uninstall the app?
Follow the usual steps for uninstalling a program or application in Windows or Mac:
Windows 10
Windows 8.1 and 7
Mac
Here's a link that gives detailed steps on how to delete the app from either a Mac or Windows device: QuickBooks App for Windows and Mac: General support.
Re-download the app after it has been removed from the device. Here's how:
You can open this link to begin the process: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/apps/. Scroll down to the Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section, and then click the Free Download button.
After the download is complete, you'll see a shortcut icon for QuickBooks Online on your screen. Simply click it and log in using your username and password, and you're good to go.
Also, can you give me some additional information on the issue you are having with connecting the bank account? Such as bank name, error, etc.
I'll be awaiting your reply and I'll do everything I can to get to the bottom of this with you.
Good afternoon, @debbie41.
Congrats on becoming a part of our Community and making your first post. I can help you connect your bank account in QuickBooks Online.
There can be multiple reasons why your accounts aren't connecting successfully. I'm here to narrow down the actual reason and to get you back to running your business. There are some basic actions that you can take to make sure that you receive a successful connection:
1. Reset your password on the bank website
2. Clear your app data. Here's how:
a. Select Help
b. Click Clear Cache/Reset App Data.
If you fill me in on what the name of your bank is and if you're receiving any error messages, then I can get the best solution to connect your bank accounts. I'll keep an eye out on your response.
Did not work. What a shocker!!! App is crap and a complete waste of time. Any other bright ideas?
