reactivating/renewing my payroll subscription

My Intuit subscription automatically renewed.  I have the email receipt for that.  However, my quickbooks payroll page is showing I need to reactiviate it.  When I verified my account, it shows that it will renew 1/10/20.  All credit card info is correct.  Yet, I keep getting error messages when I tried to do payroll saying I need to reactiviate or verify my account.  It's a circle that never gets solved.  What do I do?

Thanks for updating all necessary information to reactivate your account. 

 

In your case, you'll have to contact QuickBooks Payroll Support for a phone agent to help you. They will pull up your account, then refresh your subscription. Here's how to contact them:

  1. Open this link: https://payroll.intuit.com/support/contact/?infosrc=qs&service=16.
  2. Choose Basic, Standard & Enhanced.
  3. Click Account, then click View Contact Info.

After it has been reactivated, make sure to download the latest payroll update.

I have updated my subscription, but am still seeing the reactivate button on my screen and therefore am not able to do payroll. I have tried this suggestion above but do not see the option for basic, stand ate & Enhanced. Please help!

I've got the details that you need to know on why you're still prompted to reactivate your QuickBooks Payroll subscription. I'll also make sure you'll be able to do payroll tasks again.

 

Updating a payroll subscription may take up to 24 hours for the reactivation of your subscription to fully complete. That's the possible reason why you're still seeing an option to reactivate it. Just make sure to turn your payroll service back on in your QuickBooks Desktop company file. 

 

Here are the steps that will guide you through the process:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop company file.
  2. Go to the Employee menu.
  3. Select My Payroll Service.
  4. Click Account/Billing Info and sign in using your Intuit Account login.
  5. Under Status, choose Resubscribe.
  6. Once done, make sure to follow the on-screen steps to reactivate your payroll service.

 

To review your payroll data, go directly to the Employees tab. From there, you can review each employee you've entered in your company file. Make sure to confirm their info, including deductions, W-4, sick/vacation, etc. Once done, review your existing tax payroll items by going to the Lists Payroll Item Lists.

Thank you for your quick reply!

I reactivated more than 24hours ago, my account shows renewal date of Jun 2021, however, after doing what you suggested, when I update info on line, it says ACTIVE.

But inside QB, says Reactivate.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks file.
  2. Go to the Help menu, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief description of your issue, then click Let's talk and then choose a way to connect with us.

I have done this, but there is no "let's talk" anywhere on my screen

I am so frustrated.... I just want to pay my employees and there seems to be no way to get help here... :(

I have followed all suggestions. And although I have updated and reactivated my payroll, it keeps saying reactivate on my qb screen. 

 

It's very difficult to even find my posts, I can't seem to sign in as it requires a code be sent to my phone number and we are in a difficult area to get text messages. There seems to be no alternative like an email to verify. 

 

I do so appreciate the suggestions, but it's frustrating as nothing seems to be working and there is no number to call.

I appreciate all the details and the troubleshooting steps you've performed to resolve the issue. 

 

There are reasons why you keep on getting subscription alerts:

  • QuickBooks is not updated.
  • If the automatic renewal isn't successful, or the credit card or bank account on file is outdated.
  • Intuit is having trouble getting authorization with your payroll billing information.
  • You're using an incorrect Payroll tax table version.

To fix the reactivation notice and help your client's employees get paid. Let's re-sync your payroll subscription by re-validating your service key. Doing so can help remove the reactivation notice. 

 

Here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Go to the Employees menu at the top.
  2. Scroll down and hover your mouse on My Payroll Service
  3. Select Manage Service Key

Once the QuickBooks Service Keys window will pop up, highlight the current service, and click Edit. Verify your service key on the new popup window, then hit Next. Follow the prompts, then click the Finish button. 

 

Please know that it'll take a moment for QuickBooks to re-sync your payroll subscription. 

 

On the other hand, if you want to retrieve your service key, use our automated Service Key Retrieval tool

 

Once done, process payroll again and check to see if the reactivation notice is gone.
