reactivating/renewing my payroll subscription

I've reactivated my payroll subscription after it was deactivated....AFTER QB help told me my account was active and paid in full.  I've had to go to each of my 37 clients QB and reactivate my subscription even though the status states ACTIVE... but QB still will not figure any payroll taxes...and every time I log out..log in..restart computer, run update payroll 2 or 3 times...it still will not process payroll.  and of course, the 24 hour help desk cannot help me.  I have to wait til

9 am tomorrow EST for a call back...and I will be at my other job.  Any other suggestions on how to get my account to start processing payroll ?

Hi there, gray5cm.

 

Let's try some steps that can resolve the issue without calling our Payroll Team. Here's how:

 

  1. Go back to the Payroll Center.
  2. Click Resume Scheduled Payroll or Pay Employees.
  3. Right click employee's name that's highlighted in yellow, then click Revert Paycheck

This process will unsave the data you've entered before reactivating your account and downloading the tax table update. After that, re-enter the payroll items to check if taxes are now deducting.

DOES NOT WORK!!!

i was charged February 27, 2020 automatic renewal of $693.88.  last week payroll did not take out taxes, now what a mess!!!  i have tried everything give to me to make taxes taken out it will not work! 

my account says ACTIVE

This may be a little deeper than what it may seem since the steps above didn't work. We'll have to delete the Paysub.ini file. This is one of the application files and once it's damaged, then it can cause some issues with your Payroll. No worries, I'm here to help you through the process of getting your Payroll running again. Here's how:

  1. Display hidden files or folders.
  2. In the Search field, type Paysub.ini.
  3. Once you see the Paysub.ini file, right-click and select Delete.
  4. Repeat the same steps until all Paysub.ini files are deleted.

After completing the steps, let's get the latest Payroll update. If you run into any errors while updating your Payroll, click here.

I am having a similar issue! My subscription was renewed, has a date of 2021 for the next renewal and I am still getting an error in Enterprise telling me to renew my payroll. I have followed every help file I can find to no avail, even ran the file doctor. So frustrated with QB!!!! I have 5 employees waiting on me to fix this issue so they can continue with their work day.

This isn't the impression I want to leave you with. I want to ensure you get the support you need to resolve this payroll issue as soon as possible. If the steps and running the file doctor didn't work, then I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They have more advanced tools to look further into your account to see why this is occurring in your QuickBooks Desktop. 

 

  1. Click the Help menu. 
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help
  3. Give a brief description of the issue and press Continue
  4. Scroll down and choose to Get a Callback

As of now I think my tech support firm has the issue fixed. I only call support as a last ditch effort as I don't need to have a script read to me by a tech in India or some other country. As a business owner my time is precious and I cannot afford to spend hours getting directed to "the next level" of support. Thank you for responding

Still having problems.  and now it won't even come back at all.

I've reactivated all my clients, the long way.    I spent 3 days on the help line - shutting off firewalls, changing, deleting, reloading, and more.  My quickbooks will NOT update payroll tax tables, will NOT submit direct deposits,  Will NOT submit any Forms for quarterlys.  Right now my quickbooks is just basically a desk top ledger.

I did an online Chat with a fellow and he was Finally able to resolve the issue.  but it only lasted about a week.

Then all of a sudden I received a message as I was processing payroll, stating that my quickbooks issues have been resolved and I needed to restart.  Finished what I was doing and restarted and I AM Dead in the water -- again.    I have had my own IT in and they cannot find the problem.  I am constantly told it is with my internet, but I can do everything else on my internet - pay taxes on EFTPS, ETIDES, send emails, etc.

Just nothing with QB.   and Citrix receiver went down with all of this as well.

Now I am right back where I was before, nothing,  can't even hit the F1 button for the help thru my QB program.  I don't know if it has to do with QB, or Microsoft, but it is NOT a nice place to be - especially quarterly time AND all the changes with this massive business layoffs, etc.

I am basically dead in the water.  

Look, I understand it is not all you wonderful people trying to help.  The girls that tried to help me during the 3 day stint before were awesome, as you all are.   But this has added 100 x's work for me and I used to LOVE QB.  It did everything I needed and more.

I'm in a total loss right now.   I have a laptop that, for now is working, but until I can get all my files coordinated with using the laptop, it is a nightmare.

I'll make sure that this issue is taken care of. It may have something to do with Citrix receiver. First, you can install QuickBooks on your local drive and then create a company back-up file (once you're connected with your Citrix receiver).

 

Once, QuickBooks is installed in your local drive, and your back-up file is ready, restore your company file in Quickbooks installed in your local drive.

 

This is to check if it has to be with ISP or QuickBooks related issues.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend to check it with our Care Support Team. They have tools that can help you check the cause of the account's issue.

Our Support teams are only available from 6 AM to 6 PM PT on weekdays. Please try contacting them tomorrow during that time. That way, they can check your account. Ony them has access to clients' accounts.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I can provide some clarification about renewing QuickBooks subscriptions.

 

You can see the Gear icon in the upper-right corner of your account. This method of renewing is available for users who are using QuickBooks Online only.

 

If you have this type of subscription, here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner, then select Account and settings.
  2. Go to Billing & Subscription.
  3. Find the expired payroll subscription and click Resubscribe

 

If you're using the Desktop version, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Access the company file.
  3. Click the Employees tab at the top menu bar and select My Payroll Service.
  4. Select Account/Billing Info.
  5. Sign in using your Intuit Account login.
  6. Under Status, choose Resubscribe.
  7. Follow the on-screen steps to reactivate your payroll service.

Let me help you reactivate your payroll subscription, Snowman159.

 

The best way to turn your payroll service back on is directly in your QuickBooks Desktop company file. Please know that Remember, only authorized users can update billing info.

 

I've outlined the steps below as your guide.

 

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop company file, go to Employees and select My Payroll Service.
  2. Select Account/Billing Info.
  3. Sign in using your Intuit Account login. Your QuickBooks Account page will open.
  4. Under Status, choose Resubscribe.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to reactivate your payroll service.

 

It may take up to 24 hours for the reactivation of your subscription to be fully completed. Your subscription will show Active once the reactivation is complete.

 

You can sign in again to your Intuit account and check the status. Your subscription will show Active once the reactivation is complete. Be sure to run payroll updates before creating your employee's paychecks.
