Join nowHow can I replace an existing company file, which was set up incorrectly by the business owner, with a new file that I created in a QBO trial version. The business has a QBO Essentials subscription account for which I am the bookkeeper. Thank you!
Allow me to help you with your existing account, PRAcct.
If your Quickbooks Online (QBO) account is less than 60 days, you can purge the account, then log in and subscribe using the trial version. In QuickBooks, you'll have to make sure that you're purchasing the correct account since QBO doesn't have an import and export feature.
However, if your subscription is already beyond 60 days, I suggest cancelling your account. Please take note that if you have any billing concerns about the canceled account, I suggest contacting our support team to help you with your concern.
Here's how to reach them:
I have included these help articles in case you have a few questions about QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Keep me posted if you need help. I'll always make sure to get back.
You should ask your client to cancel their account and purchase the trial account you have setup. Keep in mind, they have to pay the regular rate for it. It would be easier than migrating data between QBO accounts or purging their account to redo your works.
