I have updated my QB Enterprise contractors Edition 2019. There is a notification in the upper right corner of the desktop that states I must restart to install update. I click the restart now icon and restart QB Enterprise. The notification remains.

Let's try some more troubleshooting steps to remove the notification. First, you have to reset the update to re-download all improvements.

This time i logged in as Admin and immediately ran verify followed by rebuild. In the summary it said it fixed one item and when i clucked on it was taken online to a place discussing a duplicate trans number
i immediately noticed the red banner missing
then i ran update with reset again and afterwards rebooted the computer
the red banner is gone but the 404 and 15227 error messages remain
although i changed to Admin i have been entering many items so there are too many variables to say changing to Admin was what cured the ailment. Ill ignore the error messages in update

You usually encounter the Error #404 message if you don't have any accounts related to QuickBooks business services, such as QuickBooks Merchant Account Service or QuickBooks Online Billing. These service messages don't apply to you unless you pay for this type of subscriptions.
For Error #15227, it's referring to the tool for helping users move from computer to computer that you might don't use. If you want to view the descriptions, you can click the name below the Updates column.
