Starting Over

Just signed up today with the Simple Start. Before I thought it through, I had connected and uploaded my banking information. I don't want all of 2022 imported in - want to start with today info and create accounts as I grow,

I have tried every way possible to delete bank accounts. I've tried purgecompany and any other way I can find and every other trick they talk about - it won't work!! 

Then, I cancelled my subscription and it tells you to then just log back in and create a company... can't just log back in - takes me to the original company.

I just want to start over with fresh entries from today forward....

Getting really frustrated here - nothing seems to be working. Based on various articles, I am not the first person to ask for this either.

Thanks for any help on this!

You cannot purge QBO Simple Start. It's possible that after you canceled your account, you chose to re-subscribe instead of signing up for a new one. You may consider this solution to make sure you open a new blank account. Select QBO Essentials and sign up with another email address. Configure your account and you can purge Essentials within 60 days if required. When your account is ready to use, change your email address as Primary Admin before downgrading your plan to Simple Start.

Thanks for the help and advise. When I went to signin after cancelling, I tried to do it as a new account and it said I already had an account and had to "sign in"... brought me right back to where I was trying to cancel. If I decide to stay with QB, I'll follow your plan as you say. 

However, I am incredibly disappointed in QB for not allowing data to be purged - especially on the first darn day!!! Whew..... ridiculous.....

I agree with what Fiat Lux - ASI said. You can't purge your account in QuickBooks Simple Start. What you have to do is cancel your current company, then sign up for a new one
