So - I'm operating on QBEnterprise 18 Gold. I need to drop a user and basically upgrade to 20 because 2 years is enough in accounting software without an upgrade. Thus starts my research.

GBE Gold 20 = 3275.00 for 4 users. = 272.92 monthly

HOWEVER....  - my monthly price is 322.00 - ok... but that's a total of $3864.

My question... what is the difference in cost for? How do I book the extra $600 in my ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE? is it a fee? is it interest? finance charge?

I've talked to 4 people at Intuit, and I consider myself a pretty smart person, and NONE of them can tell me what the increase is specifically for. "It's the way it's structured". (rolls eyes)

I GET that it's "structured" that way... but what is the breakdown of the "structure", because there is $589.00 that I need to account for and the Terms and Conditions say NOTHING about a 20% finance charge, which is what I am going to need to tell my boss in order to proceed.

Excerpt from Terms and Conditions on the Pricing page.

"Monthly Payment Plan option: If you choose to purchase QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Silver, Gold or Platinum using the Monthly Payment Plan, you elect to pay your annual subscription in equal payments over the course of 12 months. (Enterprise Platinum with The Diamond Package is a monthly subscription with no annual commitment; see The Diamond Package subscription below for details.) Purchasing an annual subscription for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise commits you to a 12-month term. You must pay for all 12 months of the subscription in full based on the then current rate of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. If you choose to cancel inside the first 60 days, you can opt to receive a refund per the 60-day money back guarantee (see Subscription Terms & Conditions for details).

However, if you choose to cancel after the first 60 days and prior to the end of month 12, you will be subject to a termination fee equal to the amount of monthly payments left on your annual subscription. For example, if you pay for 6 months and have 6 months remaining on your annual subscription (which starts at date of enrollment) you will be charged a termination fee equal to the then current monthly fee of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise multiplied by 6 months (remaining months left on annual subscription)."

SO - can anyone tell me what the additional 20% is for?

Not to mention the increase of the user rates... which basicaly DOUBLES the initial fee.

QE20 Gold - Base with 1 user $1577.00 (Based on annual pricing)

                                         2 users $2305.00 ($728.00 increase)

                                         3 users $2790.00 ($485.00 increase)

At the the end of last January, company has increase the subscriotion price for about 5%

So the current list price for QBES Gold for 4 users = $3275 for annual subs. and $322 for monthly subs. You will pay in full current list price on renewals  if you got a big discounted price (i.e > 20%) for first year.

If you chose to pay 20% off for first year, you would get the 20% lifetime discount for renewals.

To get a few discounts, consider to renew your license thru a partner. Send your private message to us for reference.

Another option, consider to downgrade to Premier edition to minimize your cost. You have to purchase a 3rd party downgrade service to do so.

Hope it helps.

@rosanavarro4545

If you have an annual subscription plan, you have to cancel it and get the refund for the unused period. Then you may purchase a new monthly subscription plan directly to Intuit with a credit card or thru a partner with other payment methods.
