Ok. I fixed it and will post solution in case anyone else has the same problem.
Go to print your report.
Print> settings>options>layout>advanced
> paper/output. Here make sure your paper size is correct ( mine needed to be letter)

Not sure how it got changed but there was a lot of hair pulling for this easy fix. Hope it helps someone else.

Is this QuickBooks Mac Desktop 2016? Or QuickBooks online? (You said changing browsers which is why I ask)

Hello, neither. It is an older (2012) version of qb that we use off a computer with windows. I changed browsers just because someone recommended to try it? I have used this forever and this is a new problem. Thanks.

Oh - you have an Apple icon next to the word QuickBooks in the forum post - the forum thinks you are an Apple user.  Sorry.

Oh ok. Not sure how the apple icon got there or how to take it off so as not to confuse further. So no ideas? Anyone?  Thanks in advance.

Thank you! Thank you!  Fixed mine too... paper was set at legal!

I was having the same problem. The paper size method didn't work for me, but while I was looking at that I noticed that the "Scale" was set to 46% instead of Default. I changed it to "Default" and it fixed the problem.

This fixed my problem - all of a sudden my checks were printing tiny fonts, and the placement was completely off.

My issue was also "scale", but I had it set at Print To Size/Page... I changed it back to Default, and that fixed it.
