I appreciate you for sharing this matter in the Community, Mehdi. We check the existing currency list to see if USD is already included. This step will help us confirm why this is not showing up as an option to add. Let me provide the steps to help you understand how this works.

First, if you're referring to the Add currency dropdown in your settings, please note that once the USD is added to the currency list, you're unable to see the USD in the Add currency dropdown.

However, if you're referring to the currency dropdown when adding a new customer, we need to check the settings and include the USD. Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Gear icon.
  3. Click the Account and settings.
  4. Go to the Advanced.
  5. Hit the Manage Currencies.
  6. Click the Add currency and include the USD.

After completing this, the USD should appear in the currency dropdowns within your QuickBooks. If you still do not see it, we can troubleshoot the program to resolve any unusual behavior.

First, please log in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private browsing window. This will provide a fresh session without any stored browser data affecting performance. Follow these shortcuts for opening a private window in different browsers:

Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N

Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P

Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

Safari: Command + Shift + N

Then, click currency dropdown and see if this is now available. If it doesn't work, clear your regular browser's cache to remove specific issues and help the program run efficiently. You can also use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

Additionally, you can check these articles to have an overview of utilizing your exchange rates and assigning a currency to an account:

I can also assist you in understanding more about exchange rates and adding foreign currencies. Please feel free to click the Reply button, and we will respond to you as soon as possible.
