There isnt a way in the app for me to track milage maybe i have to be a different type membership im not sure if so what and how ?

Yes, you're correct. You can only track mileage if you're signed in as a user with admin privileges in QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app. With that, you'll have to check your driver's user permissions first. If you don't have this permission yet, you can change your user permissions so your driver can track their mileage.

 

Here's how to turn on the feature:

 

  1. Open the app, then go to the Mileage menu.
  2. Select Auto-tracking to turn it on.
  3. If you're setting up tracking for the first time, select Allow and then Allow all the time. This lets the app run on your device in the background.

 

Here's how to categorize your mileage:

  1. Open the QuickBooks mobile app.
  2. Select the menu ☰ icon and then Mileage.
  3. Select the Unreviewed tab.
  4. Find the trip. Swipe left to categorize the trip as Business. Or swipe right to categorize it as Personal.
  5. Add a purpose for the trip.
  6. Select the vehicle you used.
  7. Select Save.
